— Background

For over 30 years, David has been active as an art director in film, television, and commercials. His career has also led him to scenic design for theatre and visual concept work for events. Following a background in the visual arts, he transitioned into art direction, bringing his aesthetic sensibility and creative instincts to productions of every kind.

"Being an art director means creating real worlds — places with a coherent and living history, for people who don't exist." — DAVID PELLETIER

Over the years, he has collaborated on countless music videos, short films, feature films, and television series that have taken him to the United States, the Netherlands, Thailand, Argentina, and Uruguay. He has also worked on commercials for renowned clients such as Google, Uber, Nintendo, Corona, UKG, BOSS, and locally for Hydro-Québec, Loto-Québec, Desjardins, and the Quebec government.

Among his special projects are music videos and interactive installations in public spaces, most notably through a collaboration with Moment Factory for Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

With a passion for 3D design, he is proficient in SketchUp/V-Ray and integrates AI tools into his creative process to produce increasingly refined concept drawings, presentation renders, and moodboards. Curious and observant by nature, he draws from art, architecture, design, literature, and his travels through diverse countries and cultures to feed his work.
